HVAC Specialist Training Program
Learn to become an HVAC Technician Community Business College offers both online and on-the-ground options for students interested in learning to work in the HVAC industry. You will find the HVAC descriptions of both programs below.
Description of HVAC Training Program
During this intensive training course, students will learn repair and terminology for domestic and commercial refrigeration systems. Course curriculum covers electrical, air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration, as well as system applications.
Students are given real world experiences to prepare them for job placement in the HVAC industry.
Throughout the entire course, students will receive instruction to prepare for their HVAC Certification as well as job search in the HVAC field training. Also included is coursework, testing and issuance of EPA certification for handling of refrigerant.
This program includes the following topics:
- HVACR Fundamentals and Safety
- HVACR Electrical DC and AC Theory
- Electrical Common Components and Motors
- Systems Air Properties and Measurement
- Refrigeration I
- HVACR Intro to Cooling System Troubleshooting
- EPA 608 Refrigerant Usage Certification Prep Review
- Refrigerant Technology for HVACR Technicians
Certificates of completion and job placement assistance are provided to successful graduates of the HVAC Specialist program. Additional follow-up specialization training is available for those interested in advanced training.
